W. Benjamin Rogers

Ben was a research associate in Applied Physics who studied a variety of problems in the area of soft and biologically-inspired materials, including colloidal self-assembly, light scattering and diffusion in nanoparticle films, and responsive photonic crystals. Before coming to Harvard, he completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. With Professor John C. Crocker, Ben used optical tweezers to study colloidal interactions and single-molecule kinetics.

Ben is now an assistant professor of physics at Brandeis University.
