Nicholas B. Schade

Nick studied the self-assembly and optical properties of metal colloidal clusters; his research interests included metamaterial synthesis and characterization, as well as DNA as a tool for directing self-assembly.  Before coming to Harvard, Nick worked on rapid prototype development and systems analysis at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and taught high school physics. He received his Sc.B. in mathematical physics from Brown University in 2005 and his A.M. in physics from Harvard University in 2011.

Nick is now a Postdoctoral Scholar in Sidney Nagel's group at the University of Chicago.
